UNIQUE

A pack of Siberian huskies, integrated into the everyday life of state-certified ski and mountain guide Hubs Lindner.

The huskies run exclusively inline – i.e. not in pairs – as is usual in classic sledging. This is simply because there are no wide tracks in steep alpine terrain. However, there are trails that are pre-tracked with skis.

We have developed a special setting – consisting of kennel management, feeding, downhill runs in formation, ascent and pulling behavior in hairpin bends, etc. We manifest this in our routine: around 120 ski tours per winter and around 200 alpine trails per year.

In deep snow, the huskies are allowed to pace down the mountain off-leash.

As huskies have a very pronounced and original hunting instinct, our routine makes all the difference.

How does your #huskymountaineering weekend work?

DAY 1: Check in Basecamp Gramais, get to know each other in the kennel –
DAY 2: Breakfast, preparation of the huskies and ski/emergency equipment, takeoff, tour, looking after the huskies, dinner, briefing for the next day, lectures (avalanche, #huskymountaineering – our philosophy and way of working with the pack)

THE ROLE OF YOUR LIFE

The animals will bring you into now and here to awaken your instincts.

In any case, you can take the days with us home with you:
As a feeling and with the experience of a new level of consciousness,
or as a FOOTAGE consisting of photos and film.

Hannes Hinterseer accompanies us as photographer, filmmaker and backup.

As a member of the German Mountain Rescue Service, a certified Tyrolean mountain hiking guide/VÖBS and a top athlete in good physical condition, he keeps the team of huskies and guests together in his role as a key man.

Discover the Lechtal Alps

High alpine with lots of snow from December to April.

That’s the character of our local mountains in a nutshell. North-facing weather conditions, long valleys, steep upswings, sweeping flanks and numerous transitions between the mountain ranges make for a very challenging setting for ski touring and mountaineering.
