UNIQUE

A pack of Siberian Huskies, integrated into the daily life of state-certified ski and mountain guide Hubs Lindner.

The huskies run exclusively inline – i.e., not in pairs – as is common in traditional sledding. This is simply because there are no wide tracks in steep alpine terrain, only the trail pre-groomed by skis.

Accordingly, we have developed a special setting – consisting of kennel housing, feeding, alpine leashes, downhills in formation, ascent and pulling behavior in switchbacks, etc. – and manifest this in our routine: around 120 skitours per winter and around 200 alpine trails per year.

In deep snow, the huskies are allowed to pace down the mountain off-leash.

Since huskies possess a very pronounced and primal hunting instinct, our routine makes the difference.

Discover the Lechtal Alps

High alpine with plenty of snow from December to April.

This briefly describes the character of our local mountains. Northerly stau weather patterns, long valleys, steep ascents, expansive flanks, and numerous passes between mountain groups result in a very demanding setting for skitours and mountaineering.
