What followed was a lot of anticipation for a special time in the Alps.

They combined their husky experience in Gramais / Tyrol / Austria 🇦🇹 with a stay in Andermatt / Switzerland 🇨🇭.

To do so, they first had to cross the Atlantic. Because Kate & Jake live not far from ground zero in Manhattan / New York City / USA 🇺🇸.

Getting to know them during an exciting ski tour with our pack and over dinner together made the weekend at least as extraordinary for us as hosts as the winter husky mountain experience for our first American guests at Basecamp Gramais.

And it is in the nature of things that we polarize as part of our #huskymountaineering excursions.

The reality we create with our husky adventures is the projection of freedom and heart energy. Because while our human civilizations lose themselves in constraints, rules and mechanisms far removed from our true nature, here we make our very own, intimate and, for the rest of the world, very unapproachable decisions every day.

A path to mutual empathy for the world and reality of the other person.

Polarities such as up and down, light and shadow, sun and moon are essential laws of the universe that form the basis for human development and therefore for life.

This insight is not exclusively spiritual, but is based on the knowledge we have gained about life from quantum physics.

As far as Kate, Jake and us are concerned:

Even if an ocean separates us, our shared experiences will connect us forever and be an inspiration.

We can hardly wait to meet again next winter 🐺.

]]> 2216 Filippo & his Malinois https://mountainhusky.com/2025/08/22/filippo-his-malinois/ Fri, 22 Aug 2025 08:47:50 +0000 https://mountainhusky.com/2025/08/22/filippo-his-malinois/ Filippo’s booking for a ski tour with our Siberian Pack came quite early in fall 2024, right after our go-live with mountainhusky.com.

The challenge for us was to design the setting in such a way that his loyal and still quite young Malinois could accompany our Siberian Train on a ski tour.

Hubs and Hannes had little experience with this breed of dog. However, it turned out that in the end they had taken the most important points into account when working with the well-trained and disciplined German shepherd.

  • Filippo had to take off the Malinois before we could help him with the ski touring equipment and the line-out.
  • Protecting its master is the Malinois‘ lifeblood. One move without first being put down and the joint project ends with a bite.
  • The Malinois had to walk at heel consistently to avoid distracting or possibly provoking our male dogs in particular. Avoiding an altercation between the animals was at the top of the to-do list.
  • The downhill sequence was the most challenging task, as it was Filippo’s dream to ski down together with our pack: the risks of cuts on the legs of the four-legged friends with Filippo’s ski edges, and our newly assimilated Malinois in the downhill with 8 Siberians, had to be managed.

With a lot of calm, attentiveness, an individual approach to the animals and a slight distance to our huskies, we also mastered this challenge in the end.

Animals work with energy. Energy is vibration >> Frequency >> Pattern.

This means letting the air out of the balloon: Take your time. Consider. Decide. And only then move on.

What do we learn from this?

In our Western civilization, school and the like have taught us exactly the opposite.

It has to be quick. The exam questions have to be answered to a specific wording. Preferably immediately and shot from a pistol.

The reality?

… looks different. Because the difference between theory and practice is greater in practice than in theory! Applying the rules of our civilization on that day would probably have ended in disaster.

Yes, it is:

It was a day full of endorphins, a day in the powder of the Lechtal Alps, a day with the thoroughbred Italian Filippo and his Malinois, a day full of memories, a day full of impressions on camera.
